Welcome to my website.

This is the place you spend some time if you like to know more about me, my counselling work and the services I provide.
Perhaps you will like to know a little about my background, and how I come into private practice.

I have found a strong desire to help people, and to somehow contribute to the betterment of the world since young. But this is not a straight forward path, and I find myself changing fields quite often. I had done some studies in accountancy, geography, and computer science, and in my university days, had tried to do a double major in biology and chemistry. I was involved in the study of bryology, then the conservation of the environment. I then went on to work in the corporate sector in microbiology, and then was involved in oncology research before going into school counselling, and finally doing therapy in my own practice.

I obtained my Diploma in Holistic Counselling for Schools from MOE, and after which, a Masters in Professional Counselling, from the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, and obtained a Diploma in Clinical Supervision from ECTA in 2013. I have been a registered counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) from June 2010, and a registed clinical supervisor from 2015.  At the moment, I have my private practice at North Bridge Centre, and do free lance work with MOE, WHP Services and provide supervision for counselling interns in ECTA.

Professionally, I am also privileged to be elected as the 2nd Vice President of SAC, for the term of 2018 - 2020. In my term, I had represented SAC to deliver a presentation at the Pertapis 'Hope Beyond Challenge' conference in 2019 as well as being a panellist at the same event. Other projects I had undertaken included the spearheading of the SAC Tech Fest at the end of the year in 2018, the SAC Appreciation Dinner in 2019, and setting the SAC Crisis Team Policy in 2020. I am also honoured to be invited as a panellist with Tech Tarik: Tech x Mental Health, as well as being able to present a workshop and run a process group at the 2019 Gestalt Conference in Hungary, organised by the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT).

Joy, rather than happiness, is the goal of life, for joy is the emotion which accompanies our fulfilling our natures as human beings. It is based on the experience of one's identity as a being of worth and dignity.
